I been on this site for about a month now and I here all this stuff about the twins. Thier posts are so entertaining to me. it sounds like people get mad because thier post are so detailed with pics of fish, the time of day, what location they were at, and what bait they used. I wanted to talk about my last two fishing trips but kind of scared too because i dont know if i will put up to much info or what and get people pissed off. Is there something else im missing that the twins did?

joethafoe you'll need to really peel back the onion on your question about others posts. Meaning reading all the posts and not just the recent ones of the last few weeks. Doing this you may or may not have your question answered.

I sincerely believe a vast majority of folks who post fishing reports have a strong moral compass of honor and intregrity, responsible for ones actions, displaying ethics, knowing what is right and what is wrong, being respectful, following the law, willing to help others who are sincere, being disciplined and willing to accept and use constructive critisim to better oneself are just a few moral compass attributes/traits I can think of off the top of my head.

These things I've listed if you peel back the onion to answer your 'why' question you may find continually called out and into question and continually repeated with regards to others posts.

Now if I may recommend about you posting your reports and pics.

When thinking about posting pics well mud battered, rock battered, sand/gravel battered pics probably not a good idea if you stated you released the fish. Hands shoved in the fishs gill or holding the fish by the line with a deeply embedded treble again probably not best to post again unless you keep the fish.

So FWIW just my observations for consideration on your 'why' question with regards to some to include recommendations on posting a report with pics.[][]

You said it perfectly. Re read these posts mentioned and this should be clear.
It was and probably always will be about the handling of Catch and Released fish.

k2muskie as you will see the last question on my reply to the post is Did the twins do something im not aware of. I did go back about three months to the twins post and read nothing that would offend me. Thats why I asked that question on my last sentence on my reply to this post. But then when I started to read the comments people left on thier post I saw things that would offend me. people started saying on how they held the fish wrong, or there giving out to much info, or hey thats MY secret spot you caught the fish at. then i read the twins replys. The poeple who complain about the twins post about how thier fishing day went I imagine are the same type of people at my work who are always pointing out others mistakes while justyfiying thier own! I found it annoying when people posted hey your holding it wrong, or hey thats the wrong type of hook you can hurt or even KILL the fish...I go fishing around utah lake I dont hold the fish accordingly to what I learned on this forum Yesterday in lehi at the jordan river behind the bridge on main street using nightcrawlers I caught a bullhead that swallowed my last hook, so i ripped it out but guess what a minute later caught the same fish cuz it was still bleeding. Ban me or whatever but I learned that this forum is probably not for me. Did get some good info though from the twins and even went and met up with tubedude and bought his utah lake book

There is a wide variety of people that visit the board and post here. For the most part we play well together. If this forum isn't what an individual expects, the good thing is they don't have to visit it, or post on it.

IMO, generally speaking, people come here to listen to the fishing chatter going around. People don't want to see post with content that are:



[ul][/ul][li][/li]Racially offensive[/li][li][/li]Politically divisive[/li][li][/li]Talk about illegal activities[/li][li][/li]Talk about unsportsmanlike tactics[/li][li][/li]Inappropriate for younger members on the site[/li][/ul]

That's all..... if this forum doesn't fit, there are plenty of other ones out there that probably do.
