tried to get that daylight top water bite but came up empty with the black buzzbait. actually nothing worked for us this morning. caught some small fish once the sun got up, and then here come the "5 to 10" wind -- good grief. lucky for us we were back up in the creek and could manage to get out of it here and there. continued to catch some small fish on worms and SBs, when i decided to try out my new light-spinning cranking for small CBs. caught my first skipjack on a chartreuse "cotton"; never knew these guys put on such a show. it was a lot of fun on light tackle. while working our way back to the boat ramp we picked up a couple of better-quality fish, one on a 2.5 sx shad and the other on the trusty worm. no actual method to our madness when fishing the creek. there are a couple of places with stumps that are good at times, but they did not produce for us today. everything was just dumb, random luck. had a lot of fun with hangin with fam.
