Thanks Trackerg.....called them yesterday afternoon but no answer. I'm thinkin maybe the guy in the trailer up there might be the only crew for now.Guess I could head up the road to Rockport if Echo's a no go.

Could you tell if the water level is rising at Echo on your drive by?

Couldnt tell if it was rising....but the lake was pretty full and they werent letting much out the overflow....I'm not sure how much runoff is going to hit Echo. Not much snow around the area mountains.

I was at Echo fishing from shore on Friday. The water levels have actually dropped noticeably since the last time I was there last week. Also I think the boat ramp is open. I saw two fishing boats out on the water on Friday and the gates to one of the marinas open. I can only assume that means they are open for business.

I stopped in at Echo Saturday afternoon. The gates were open but they didnt have the "drawbridge gates" up and the cafe wasnt open. Im not sure when they officially open.

Went to launch there Saturday morning and the gates were locked (8AM). There were two boats trolling when we got there so they must be part of the "fulltime" campers that seem to be there every year and were already in the evening before. Two other boaters came in behind us while we were there and turned back also.Went up to Rockport instead and trolled popgear and worms on two poles and longlined a Pointer on another. All three poles had about the same amount of action. Brought home 7 nice bows for dinner on the BBQ that night.Let another 5-6 go back.
