Well thanks everyone for all the helpful info on fishing for crappies at willard. I went up today and tried everything mentioned and then some. Not one single bite. There were a few other guys up there trying but I saw no one catch a fish. Several guys in their boats jigging around the docks and I heard that they were having some success. Maybe I just need to give it a few more days with the weather warming into the 80's maybe try again next week. Thanks again for the advice. I have not given up and will be back up there soon.

[cool][#0000ff]That's Willard for you. Some days are good and some days are "crappie".[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I toyed with the idea of hitting Willard this morning but opted for Utah Lake instead. Glad I did. Not stellar but no skunk either.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It will get better...gay-ron-teed. But with the silly up and down weather and temps it is a tough proposition to time it right.[/#0000ff]

You didn't miss much this morning. There was a few boats on the lake and I only heard of one fish being caught. Pretty slow today.[fishon]

As nice as it got by later today, I'm betting the fish are still coming out of that last chill-factor. By Sat-Sun (mon) they hopefully will have got into "warm weather mode".
I ran around the Bear after work, and only got to toy with some carp. No crappie for me either!
That glorious day TD and FG had last year - I went down, same harbor, next day, different fisherman, and I got no crappie love. Though I was not alone. Saw ONE guy hookup, then miss it just before it landed in his net. Was tubing around the docks. I did nail my first Willard Smallie that day, so - I'll take it!
Gonna go chase some local kitties tomorrow, then still TBD on Sunday plans, but CV if you wanna work something out. I'd be game to head to Willard's bays, or farther north if that's desired. Seat's open.
The only one we got 1.2 lbs others were getting their limit in the brush.

[cool][#0000ff]Been up a couple of times but Willard has not been playing nice so far this year. Looka like she might be gettin' more friendly.[/#0000ff]
