We headed down to the river thinking that we'd get into some nice redbreast, and some spots. Water temp was 67 when we got there at 9am and the flow was about 9000. Very strange trip in the fact that each bank we fished, we had to change presentation and lures in order to get the fish to hit. Not at all like spawning bass normally are down there when they'll hit about anything. So the pattern was deep and shallow, fast and slow, with topwater, crawfish lures and about anything in the box working some of the time, and not working at other times. We ended the day with several nice fish, but not near the numbers we'd expect this time of year. Found some google eyes in Mr. Wisker's secret spot! We also caught about 5 or 6 nice red breast but no set location, just scattered. Mike did get into a nice bass that measured right at 22 inches and weighed between 6.5 to 7 lbs on our scale (batteries were dying). It gave him a fit on ultra light tackle and 6lbs test line. All in all a great day on the water.
