Hit DC Saturday afternoon. SLOOOOOW..... caught 3, but one was a fat 2.5lbs rainbow.
must have been all the rain the last week. marked lots of fish, but couldn't get them to hit. Threw everything at them, rapalas, needlefish, dragged a worm, flat fish etc. tight lipped buggers...
Guess thats why they call it fishing and not catching...

Slow for us yesterday also. Threw everything at them also. Boated one fish in 8 hours of fishing. Weather was great so can't complain.

Wow!!! Thats crazy to hear both of your reports. I got up with my dad and cousin and launched at 12:30 fished till 5:30 and it was slow for the first half hour till we found the trout then it was game on untill the wind picked up a couple of hours into it. We went home with 3 limits ready for the smoker now. All fish were 14 to 16 inches good healthy rainbows. They loved dancing on top of the water when they got hooked and then right before they got in the net. smaller lures worked better then bigger ones.

Great report. Where we're you on the lake?
We tried northern end and the west bank. [reply][/reply]

We were on the north end by the river inlet and headed slowly to the west. Then we went to the arm by the main south boat ramp and caught a couple around the ramp when the wind picked up on the North end.

I hit Deer Creek last night thanks to the most wonderful fiance` ever. When i asked what she wanted to do for her birthday she said go to the lake and watch me fish with some friends. (she's a keeper!) Well onto my report. I left the raft home so i could hang out with everyone on shore. Normally i'm not much into bait fishing as i don,t keep many fish but my buddy the only other guy fishing really wanted some fish for the fridge. He and i were the only two fishing and we set up in Rainbow Bay picnic area. My buddy got one before we got there on salmon scented power bait. I set up with chartreuse power bait weighted down by a slide water filled clear bobber. hooked 2 nice fish back to back that broke me off and that's when i realized i grabbed my fly fishing leader 2 lb test. lol Fixed that problem and brought home 3 nice rainbows all about 17in. As soon as the sun went down the second our line hit the water a bite was on. We called it quits though to get home for some birthday cake. not sure how to post pics yet. i'll figure it out when i have something bigger then 17in to post.[]

Sweet!!! Glad you got into the fish!! Your fiance sounds like a keeper. My wife and i before we got married loved to go out fishing it took some persuasion at first but got her in to a few fish and she loves it.
