Took out "Kitty Chaser" (my boat Wink ) this morning for my daughters birthday. She wanted to go just as much as me, 85 degrees, no wind, AWESOME. We got out there about 9:30AM and my daughter hooked into a whopper in the first 5 minutes. Broke off when I tried to get the net under it. Ended up with 16, 6 were channels and went on the stringer, rest bullheads. Two hours of heaven.

I was in 3 feet of water, reeds. I rigged my turkey feather bobbers (I have some on KSL if you want to see what I mean) on all our poles with a good sized kahle hook 2' under it. One or two small split shot weights just enough to stand that quill up. Everyone had bought all the night crawlers from walmart so I stacked on 4 or 5 trout worms, hit it with some Berkley night-crawler scent, and that was it. Had to come in once the worms ran out. 20 lbs of fish total. 5 of the six were 21" and around 3 lbs. Had one smaller that my girl didn't want to release. Did try dead minnow on one at the end which worked also. Shrimp doesn't seem to produce channels quite yet.

Hope this helps someone out there. If you want more details on location or whatever PM me, no problem. See you out there.

I live to fish, and fish to really live.

That looks like one happy girl! [cool] Sharp looking life jacket too.[Wink]
Nothing more fun than listening to those kids squeel and keeping enough catch rate to keep them excited...

Thanks for the life vests. Couldn't have gone without them. Those bobbers are amazing.

Sounds like a great trip. Good getting your kid on tugs! You can be sure she'll wanna go again next time! Lucky you!

Nice report there. I'll have to check out those bobbers. Sounds like UL is picking up the way Cutler is. Really think those waters share a lot of similarities (except YOU got all them White Bass!!!)
Weren't you just banned stumped?

I am thinking that after his wild provoking posting spree
today, that he is pretty much Toast.

I would not be surprised, if he comes back under another user name.
