Thats like catching a 5lb bass on 1lb test[] I released mine as well.Here is my RIVER MONSTER also caught in April,actually Easter Sunday[angelic] this year,caught on 17lb spiderwire

Here is the first part of my Pacu vid,he nearly spooled me,I had to go after him.I didn't want to jump in though,one time I swam to the otherside just to have him cut me off on the drop off from the othersideThis time I risked it all to keep the line clear

Very nice STURGEON! What a surprise. There are places in Idaho where you cannot lift Sturgeon out of the water, so you really don't get the impact. I have a picture of my Gramps and a 7'er he caught on 12 lb. He said it must have had a death wish...LOL

That is one nice fish. Id like too add another river monster too the list. Not as exciting as the sturgeon or the pacu, but was still awesome.


If my buddy wouldnt have been there i probably couldnt of landed this.My small reel couldnt budge this thing from the bottom. my bud had too grab my line and kinda of force him my way as i reeled in the slack. Kind of felt like i was hung up until i felt it give way then it dug in again.

I was using 30 lbs power-pro with a 5 foot light action ugly and a abu garcia cardinal reel.

In the second pic you can still see my carolina leader and 2 oz sinker.Catch and Release!!!
