Took my granson fishing for awhile Saturday Morning. We didnt catch a ton of fish but some nice kitties. When I filleted the fish I noticed that they had bulging stomachs and found they were completely full of tiny crawdads. I didnt take a ton of pics but here is one of a proud fisherman

nice i love when the kitties wake up from there winter naps, cant beat catching them out of UL. also the jordan is good right now too and to get them out of a big current from the river is lots of fun even if the fish pops your line, but personally the cat i ate out of the jordan was not very good.

That makes sense! When I'm at the Jordan I check under all the rocks along the shore and usually find crawdads. Rip off the tail, put it on a hook and they LOVE IT.

Wow thats a nice healthy looking cat. THERE BA A A CK...... I remember on the jordan we were seeing a whole bunch of crawdads swimming to the surface in a frantic hurry one after another. Then we saw a injured one and caught it. Put it on our hook and just dropped it right in. Bam instantly got a hit and dang it was huge it took our line way down stream we fought it and fought it, it even came up to the surface and let out strange noises, I can tell it was a channel cat when it popped its head up. It eventually went we down stream into a bank that was innaccesible to humans and must of went in some rocks. We waited it out but it never came out of the rocks. Its head looked bigger then any fish I ever caught..

Since his dad passed it has been hard to get him out. His mom was a bit over protective and he drifted toward the electronic game stuff. He does like to fish (if they are biting). I told him about the spring fling on whities and he is kind of excited to give it a try.

[cool][#0000ff]I just got an extra float tube so I can get my teen aged grandson out on the water this summer. He likes to fish but his dad has a very hectic work schedule that is unpredictable and leaves little time for fishing. Can't wait to get him bendo on a big ol kitty down at the Knolls.[/#0000ff]

[left]You planning on hitting the Knolls this coming weekend? I'm thinking about launching the pontoon for the first time this year if the weather is decent. Sure excited to see the nice modifications they've made to the beachhead. [frown]
