Got a weird problem, I just got off the phone with Lowrance Tech. I have an older HDS5x (gen1) and want to upgrade the software, unfortunately my other unit on the console is a new HDS5 (gen2). The HDS5x does not have a simm slot and you have to network (ethernet) two units together and upgrade the 5x off the other unit. But you can't do this with a Gen2 and Gen1.

Anyone with a HDS 5,7,etc. (gen 1) willing to help out another fisherman upgrade his unit. I can send it into Lowrance, but that will take weeks. I thought I would ask first.
