WHAT: An announcement for "On the Road, On the Water, Don't Drink and Drive" campaign, a multi-agency initiative designed to combine law enforcement resources to ensure everyone can safely travel on highways and waterways this summer.
WHEN and WHERE: 11 a.m. May 22 at the Upper Barton Creek Boating Access Area on Falls Lake.
WHO: N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, State Highway Patrol, Alcohol Law Enforcement, local law enforcement agencies, Forensic Tests for Alcohol and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
HOW: Remarks by participating agencies; one-on-one question and answer session; photo and video opportunities; boat patrol ride-alongs. Picnic lunch served.
DIRECTIONS: From I-85, take Exit 178 toward Raleigh to US 70 east and travel 2 miles. Take NC 98 east and travel 12 miles. Turn right on Six Forks Rd. (SR 1005) and travel 0.5 miles. Before crossing the bridge, turn left to the area. Click here to get Google Directions.
