Marvin called at 5:00pm and said "Dawg, the stripes are bustin on minners that the big boats have chopped up all day on that flat we slayed em on last week". So at 6:15 we set out to check what it looked like on the graph...wish I would have took pics of what the Lowrance522 showed in that whole area tonite, besides what baitfish was under the water on the deeper side of the ledge there was about as many jumping out of the water like a fireworks display up on the flat. We situated the boat so Marvin could reach the flat with a Cleo and I was running a biglip crankbait paralleling 27fow to his 13fow...he was catching Jumbo Whites and I was stuck in the back of the boat catching LM Bass(ole fuzzy lookin greenbackers with their raw bloodsore tales) after 5 gooduns(4,4,3.5,3,3) I had had enough of throwing em back(bass) while he was filling the livewell. Grabbed my 1/2 white roostertail rod with an eyeball(guess where) on it and started burning em up myself in his direction. We probably boated 60-70 fish from 7:10 to 8:20pm and I culled down to 20 Jumbo Whites for a Mother's Day Family Feast...no big boats rockin the water, cloud cover with a slight southern breeze, had to rank in the top 10 of one of my short trips on Lake Ckickamauga!
