Came home with a big 'ol skunk yesterday. My friend wanted to go after tiger musky, so off we went.

Launched at 0645 and fished til 1300. There was a lot of musky action in the shallows up the middle and northern arm. We threw everything, spinners, swim baits, hard baits, jigs, panfish jigs, crank baits, rattle traps, spinner baits. And all we managed were two follows to the boat on rapalas.

We did spook a few fish from some flooded brush and saw a few more in real shallow sunning themselves, but that was it.

Water temps 57 when we got there and 61 when we left.

Sorry about the skunk, but it happens.

I have been trying to get some time to head out but so far this year haven't made it, weather doesn't want to cooperate when the time is there, but hopefully soon.
Thanks for the temps should be picking up soon i hope.

Looks full pool to me. The water was all the way up the port ramp. Any fuller and the sidewalk there would be underwater.
Did you do some figure 8's when they followed the lure up to your boat? Not saying it would have worked for sure, but we've had success doing it.

And people out crappie fishing?

Tried figure 8's to no avail, and I didn't see anyone fishing for crappie. We didn't get any nibbles on small curly tails though. It seemed to many muskys with full bellies were around to make fishing any good for anything...
