How are the fish biting up there? I'm sure the water is still a bit cold but I'm looking for mountain whites mainly, well, just one! Looking to knock it off my species list! I don't know how I haven't got it yet, but that fish hates me and bites all the other lines around me! Any part of the lake doing better than others? I was looking at starting at the south fork and working my way back to the dam and trolling a bit. Thanks for any help!

fMountain Whites? Whitefish? I haven't heard of anyone catching a whitefish in the reservoir. There are a ton of them in the Middle Fork upstream. Should do well on trout and a koke or two.

Thanks, but I never made it out. It seemed a little too windy to take a chance on driving just to find out if it was bad up there too. I usually like to start where the south fork hits the res. are the waters on the forks raging or are they fishable? Are they open? Cause I thought the south fork was closed

You can fish the southfork up to the bridge all year, thats were the barbless and season regulations start. The southfork is 4000 cfs which is high but the reservoir is pretty full. Probably be fishable up to the cabin, past that it is probably running to fast. Look for all the junk swirling on the surface thats were the reservoir meets the current and fish as far past it up river that you can go.
