Decided to go fish awhile about 4pm, in the water by 4:15. Put in at possum creek and was going to run up river but the boat quite running just outside the Possum Creek entrance at the river. It was one of those sickening sounds like when you run out of gas, which even though the fuel gauge still reads 1/4 tank, I belive it did actually run out.

So I decided to fish my way back to the boat ramp and enjoy the day. I found all kinds of fish on the graph just outside a shallow ledge in 15 - 30 feet of water. I through a c-rig, texas rig, rigged with worms, brush hogs, lizards ..... anything I had on the boat.... Nothing! emoBang I finally caught one 15" fish up on the ledge with a jig. I am begining to like this lure even though this is the first year I have ever thrown one.

I continued fishing toward the boat ramp fishing deep and shallow as I came to it. I noticed a school of baby minnnows scurring across the shallows and began throwing everything in the boat at them. I started catching fish on a texas rig with a u-tail 5" worm. I caught several bass that were literally 3 - 4 inches long. Then momma came to eat, I set the hook and she liked to have pulled the rod out of my hands since I was expecting another baby. Only decent fish I caught, which was 18" long and only weighed 2/12, but made the two hours of trolling it took me to get back to the boat ramp a little easier.
