Mark called me today and asked if I would like to fish for a couple of hours before he went to bed to rest up for his shift at the hospital. Of course I was ready to go.

We stayed basically in Wolftever creek the entire time since he didn't have long to fish. We caught over 30 crappie and 1 nice white bass. Mark kept 8 to 10 to clean and put in the freezer. We used BG shads and fished with 1/32 oz jigs while shallow and 1/16 the short time that we tried some deep fishing.

I fished with and caught fish on double silver rainbow with a chartreuse tail light, bluegrass, albino shad, and outlaw special. Mark stayed with his favorite lure color. Everyone on here knows what it is. The fish were very picky today. Not very aggressive at all. As always, Freida pointed out the good spots for us to cast to. She is a good fishing partner. We fished docks and deep brush. Fish were mostly at a 12 to 15 count by my method of counting. 1000 one, 1000 two, 1000 three, etc. You get the picture.

Mark, I enjoyed out short trip today. This is the kind of fishing that I like to do. Short and sweet. Let's do it again sometime soon.

emoBig
