Trouble with the 85 Bayline OB, 85 hp Force, bad miss in cylinder 3. When I pull the plug, it has no sign of black, as though not firing. The other plugs look fired on. Checked compression all even. checked spark, good spark. Checked carb, got fuel, and all ports and jets clear, plus plug was a bit wet.

Couple of guesses, bad plug, fautly pick up sensor, faulty module... has no points.

I know this may get rerouted to another forum, not sure how to post there, where ever there is.

Pull your suspected bad plug, put your wire back on the plug and ground the plug to the block. Have someone crank the motor over and see if you have spark. If not, put a different plug on the wire. No spark, try another wire. Swap another wire with #3 wire and check for spark. I'll bet it's a wire. Good luck.
If it is a wire, get a new complete set with some new plugs.
