<br /> Got out again today to enjoy the awesome weather. Started off trying for spots on top but never got a hit. Switched over to drop shot and started catching the usual google eye and catfish. Messed around for a couple of hours doing this then decided to spend the last 2 hours fishing for smallies. <br /> Got on the drift and not long into it Alvin sticks and loses a nice 2.5-3 lb smallie. A few cats and google eyes later and Alvin loses a spot at the boat that was at most 6" long (on a 4" bait). emoLaugh <br /> So, while you drift for smallies the google eyes drive you nuts. I had one just pecking the poop out of my minnow. Peck, peck, peck....peck, peck peck....peck, peck, peck....I told Alvin and Eric that if he kept on a big smallie would come over and take it away from him. Peck, peck, peck....PECK!!! The fight was on. Ended up being a nice 4 lb smallie that sure enough took the minnow away from the google eye. The LM do this all the time on the lake, taking the minnow away from they yellow stripe. The fish was as long as the 4.8 lber from yesterday, but a lot thinner. <br /> We boated a few more cats and google eyes and left at 11. Saw rsimms and Labman out as well. <br /> For our 4 hours effort we boated 28 google eyes, 8 blue cats, 4 channel cats, 1 little bluegill, 4 spots, and 1 smallie; 46 fish total came into the boat. Pretty slow compared to the last 2 days but I will take a 4 lb smallie anytime.
