Leaving Bearlake this weekend and going to Cache Valley this weekend.. This will be a first for me and Porcupine with a boat. Went there a couple of time Ice fishing.
Does anyone have any info on Porcupine and what to use for Kokanee??
I'm a boater or bank fisherman or anything that includes fishing and relaxing.
Are there jetskis, speed boats, wake boarders on Porcupine on the weekends???

The "pig" is a wakeless speed only res. and Kokanee can be caught using different tactics. My preferred method is trolling with downriggers using ultralight tackle such as rocky mountain tackle, Kokanee creek tackle, or curlys lures to name a few.
Just troll at slow speeds ( 0.8-1.6mph) anywhere from the surface down to 30ft. This time of year there is no ryme or reason where they're at.

I went there last week. Search for "the pig fed me well". Quickly though anything small and orange that makes a lot of flash or motion would do well. The fish are sometimes on and off but its pretty fun when on. Trolling low speeds as mentioned and no more than 20 feet deep is also important.

Thanks for the help.. I got the info from "the pig fed me well" from a couple of days ago. Thanks for the tips on speeds and the down rigger stuff..
Short story... Had the wife with me the other day when I went into Als to get some wedding ring lure etc.. I waked up to the guy and he said can I help you.. I said sure I need an orange weddding ring.. My wifes jaw hit the floor.. Cracked me up.. She's been dreaming I'd buy her another wedding ring for her anniversary in 10 days
Thanks for the advice men... Much appreciated.. Might be there tomorrow if the sky doesn't fall in or the pond freezes over...
