I know that I have to keep freshly caught fish on ice but how long can I keep a fesh before I have to cook it?

Is it possible to gut, clean, and/or fillet a fish, vacuum seal it, and put it in the freezer?

If I do the above, do I have to fillet it first or can I just make sure it's gutted and cleaned?

TIA,

As long as they are clean, you can freeze it. Three months is the longest I freeze them before throwing them out. Freezer burn seems to hit them quicker than other meats.
