What a night we had last night. I took my son, my friend, and his two boys to DC last night after work. We arrived about 5:40 pm or so and fished until 9:20 pm or so. We caught a few crappie, lots of smallies, a large mouth, and a bunch of rainbows. We quit counting at 48 fish and still released a few after that as we were cleaning up the boat to head back to the launch. Crappie and bass were caught on 1/8 oz. jigs. 4 or 5 RB's were caught on Luckycraft pointers and at least a dozen bows were caught on Kokanee Creek spinners and spoons. Everything was trolled at appx. 1.1 mph.
It was one of those trips that everyone had perma-grin on the whole evening!
Get up there soon!!

Edit..... While fishing along the rocks a mink(?) came down to the waters edge, swam along the rocks feeling everywhere, then popped back out with a crawdad and had dinner right there in front of us.

This is such a pleasant counterpoint to my post from yesterday. I'm definitely heading back up there soon. Glad y'all tore it up!

Cool. Daughter and I were up there Saturday, and caught 2 little maybe 10-11 inch rainbows, fishing the Charleston end from the bank. Glad you had a great day!
