Yes we are brave, not sure what we were thinking, but the wife and kids wanted to go out. (must have been all the garage cleaning). It was not too bad though, launched fairly easy and only had one or two boats think we wanted to see them up close skiing. I need a bit sign that says, I do not care how cool you think you are, please observe the state water laws and stay away. One even went between us and the shore when were anchored pretty close. But hey, I knew it going in, so I will shut up now and get to the important part.
The fishing was good considering mid day and hot. Perch, blue gill and crappie. Not a lot, and most were small. But did manage one above average perch, over 12 inches and one nice crappie among the dinks. It was a nice after noon on the water.
Water temp 72 to 73, clear water out from the banks. Fish seemed to be just off the weed lines in most spots.
