Found a productive hump on the forth of July but couldn't fish it good for all the boat traffic rippin and roarin on the lake so today me and my buddy Randy went out to see if they were still there. Man I love it when a game plan comes together! We were catching fish right from the start. We found em deep anywhere from 18 to 38 feet. Water temps stayed at 85 from 6 to noon today. We threw football heads 3/4 and one oz. Randy being kinda new to bass fishing hooked up with a nice one and starts pumping and reeling like we were deep sea fishin! emoLaugh I bout feel out. Hold his head up and reel I yelled! Thankfully it didnt come unbuttoned and he landed his personal best 4 lb 11oz emoToast We rib each other alot and have since 6th grade but I swear it was killin me whenever he hooked up he would pump and reel :emoticon: I finally beat it out of him when I neted one just as it came unbuttoned! After a stern lecture on how I couldnt save his tail like that all the time I will be danged if he didnt just get the net under MY fish as my sloopy knot came untied. Not only did he save my fish but he also manedged to somehow net my jig! emoRedface We had a great mourning got 10 bass all keepers in 6 hrs. Best five went 16 8oz. Best three went 10 4oz. All fished released had two to probably die as I didn't have a needle to fizz fish. emoRedface
