I was up there over the 4th and using a night crawler with a mini colored marshmallow we averaged 15 fish in 3 hours with 4 poles in the water for 3 days straight. Curt G actually got to watch my boat catch fish that week rather than the other way around. We were using slip sinkers above a swivel with 18-30 inches of leader below the swivel.

Trudes is a great place to catch fish but you need a boat. If you have a boat head south out into the main body of the res, once out into the large part you want to start gradually turning to the west. After a few miles you will see an old cabin with the windows boarded up and a green roof set up on the bank in a bay, that is Trudes bay. When you enter into the bay stay to the middle and make the corner wide, there are some rocks on the corner of the north shore that can get you when the water is low and the west bank has lots of weeds on it. Fish anywhere along the cut bank on the north side in the corner or down around the cabin on either side of the bay as well. There are fish all through there.
Good luck!

We fished trudes this morning and man there was about 20 boats in that little bay. We anchored out and didn't catch any thing so before we lefted we trolled the mouth and caught 2 in about 10 min. They were about 16in and 18in. Not a lot of fish but it was still fun.
