Made a long run to Saratoga Lake where my daughter & family recently moved to from Seattle Washington. Was to fish Lake Champlain, weather not cooperative so we fish Saratoga Lake @ Saratoga Springs New York. This is small natural lake with depths to 80 ft, clear with a lot of vegetation. Loaded with 2-3 lbrs and occasionally a 5-6 lbs.. My Grandsons had not fished in couple years, as they were in Seattle , too far away. So for 3 mornings we were out early, north wind early, changing during day and 2 day all out of south, some continious wind10-15 mph.

Found shakey head & finesse lures, green pumpkin centipede, & speed craws was the ticket, did catch on swim baits, spinners & spooks. Top water was slow, looked like most here were fishing with weightless worms pulling thru grass in 3-10 fow. Water temp in low 80's & clear.

Good times with family............. emoGeezer emoUSA
