Asked my neighbor if he wanted to go chase some green fish for a few hours, he did so off we went. Put in a WT ramp a little after 6:00, almost sunk my boat due to the plug not being in, jumped off put plug in and pumped out about 100 gallons of water and we were good to go! emoParty First two hours sucked as we didn't catch anything, we were fishing some deeper structure thinking that's where they would be due to the heat but wasn't happening. Lost two there, one of them felt to be a good fish but never got it to the surface. So we headed to the same place I've been catching most of my grass fish right before dark and we found them. They were on the edge of thick matted grass in about 6 to 8 feet of water, first cast yielded a 3.4, second cast was a 2.5 and three casts later one just shy of 4. emoCool Made a run down the edge of the grass and turned around and hit it one more time and got a 3.7 and several small fish, even caught a nice little smallie in THICK grass emoScratch and once the sun went down that was it so we headed back to the ramp. All fish were caught on a 10" t-rigged worm or a shakey head, all the bigger fish were on the 10" worm. Threw a frog a lot on the grass but never got a bite. Best 3 were just shy of 11lbs. Had a fun few hours and my neighbor got his you know what handed to him with his one little keeper. emoAngel
