I drove up/hiked to Pittsburg Lake earlier this year and loved it. I am looking for more lakes like that to fish. My Blazer can get up most everything, so if I have to 4x4 up that's fine. Hiking to it from a certain point is cool too. It's nice to truly "get away" I live in UT county so with 1-2 hours from there is good.

Utah Lake !!!!
Go explore up Fairview canyon. I live in UC too, and it is one my favorite places to go. There are plenty of small lakes and some excellent streams as well.

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that someone is asking for names of awesome secluded lakes on a general form with thousands of viewers?

Trying not be a jack a but this type of question is better asked by sending PM's to anglers who seem to fish secluded waters or by asking for PM's instead of responses to a general post.

Lake Mary and Catherine and the Dells and all those other Cottonwood Canyon lakes seem to be the favorites of the twins. Those must be pretty good.

Oh it isn't ok if it is not on your special invite website huh? Don't bother filling threads full of this type of thing. Yeah you called it....your are being a "jack a". If someone wants to ask a question what gives you the right to jump on their back for doing so?

You sir should try not posting if you have nothing nice to say. By asking the way the original poster did he may have gotten PM's. Maybe even some PM's from guys who are not posting very much at all these days. He has every right to ask the question he did so back down Jack.

Oh yeah and I have been loving your reports lately![laugh]

But at least you are helpful Pookie. Seems like that is a struggle for some people on here.

Hard to wade through the pretentiosness in this one. OP asked for secluded lakes & not some secret foutain of youth or anything. It's not like these lakes aren't known or anything.

Try Vernan Res. if you like the desert. Payson Lakes are a hot spot but have some good traffic. Scenery is beautiful though. Plenty of lakes in the Uintas if you really want a 2 hour drive.

Don't forget Utah Lake. It's large and there's plenty of seclusion to be found.

That is the point. Members that just come on here and rip others a new one for reports or questions and contribute nothing positive on here. Makes me sick.

Secret bodies of water? with the internet and google earth, not likely. Unless TDTs Morris resevoir counts [Wink]

Want secluded and dont mind hiking, Lake Hardy is a tough but beautiful hike. Incredible granite and awesome view of utah lake and county. Fishing can be tough due to winterkill, but i hooked up with some grayling there this spring.

Awesome statistical analysis.

The "Just sayin" is the BFT classic.
