The title says it all.
I've been away at camp for a week with my Boy Scout troop. A week of 10 to 2 midget tag team cage match, we got our azzes kicked several times.
We were at the Bear Lake Aquatics Base on Bear lake. Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, Rowing, Archery, Rifle, Shotgun, and several other merit badges were tried for and earned. We had one boy make Order of the Arrow and complete his ordeal. Tough work in the heat.
We earned another ribbon for the troop flag and missed the relay competition by 2 seconds or would have won a worn out life jacket signed by the staff.
There was only one trip to the clinic all week, for super glue in the eye while building an arrow.
I've got some pictures I'll try to get up later if I can figure out how to get them from the Ipad to the puter.
On the way home I came abck via Logan river. Fished Beaver Creek and did great on cutties on Elk hair caddis. Made 3 stops along the logan and only got 1 more. Lots bigger of a river and not my favorite kind of fly fishing. I do better on those bigger waters with a garden hackle and spinning gear. The wading was tough on the logan, big rocks and big current.

Welcome back, sounds like a fun week and what a place to be, thanks for sharing. No fishing at the Bear while you were there?

No fishing while we were there.
We fish with the troop several times a year and shore fishing at Bear lake in August can be a real challange, so we skipped it because there was plenty of other stuff to do.

I fished my way home, alone. I needed that. I regretted not having my son along, but he had to help pack the camping gear back into the church and I wouldn't let him snide away on that.
