I was anxious to get back on the white bass so made a very last minute decision to chase them last night. Got on the water about 7:15. We never found the school, just a few small groups busting here and there. We picked up two on carollina rigged foley spoons, and a coulpe skipjack on the seam using a spoon behind a popping cork. The increase in water flow has changed everything down there and I need to get it figured out.
Since it was slow, just before dark we tied up to the turbins and dropped some skippy bites down in a few places picking up four blues in the 6-12 lb range for Tims freezer. We had a couple other missed bites and it was fun for 30 minutes of fishing.
If a person wants some catfish, get some heavy rods, use braid and at least 12 oz of weight and get your bait into the discharge and you can load the boat right now.
