Ok so all my life I have read and heard all the stories about the famous Guntersville.. So the wife and plan a nice 4 day trip down there. Got there Sunday, to start with the room we got had a busted AC, then the wife finds out the deepest part of the pool is just 4 feet, she is an avid swimmer. So I take her to the beach tell her I will be back in about 20 minutes, wanted to catch the end of the race. While doing that the front desk calls and asks about the AC issue tells me to wait about 15 minutes and they would call back, they did and told me they were getting the room next to me prepped and that the housekeeper would help me move in about 15 minutes. Well to make a long story short I finally get back to the wife after over an hour and she isnt so happy. So we put the boat in and go to a shoreline to fish.. She decided she wants to head back to the room and says she will be back to get me around 8:30. So I drop her at the ramp and head off to a place I was told to try.. I get about a mile away, let off the throttle turn and when I go to get back on the gas the engine bogs, feels like its being held up, starts loosing power but still sounds ok. I stop and shut down, check the fuel bulb and its good to go. Pull the cowling and check the plug wires, they are all connected and great shape. I start back up and as I easy into the gas the engine start bogging and then making a strange noise coming from inside.. The noise got worse and the engine would hardly run. At that point I knew I was done for.. Yep looks like either a detonation issue or possible failure of the oil injection.. Sent these pics to James Perry, who I am going to have fix it back up, and he say looks like detonation. Oh well we headed back Monday!!! Went out to go to work Tues morning and had a flat on my truck.. Well when it rains it pours that was a total of 4 flats in 3 weeks, 1 on my bike, 1 on the car and 2 on my Ram.. But brighter days are ahead!! I know it.
