I'd like to thank every one of you that donated your time, your money, your mechandise, etc to help us pull of a fantastic event for the disabled veterans. Without volunteers like you all being willing to spend your time and money to bring your boat up and take people out this event could not happen! Once again THANK YOU ALL!!!

We had a great turnout with 89 veterans and 61 boats! The DWR provided a free fishing license for every veteran, the Draper National Guard brought up a filed kitchen and did all the cooking for us.We had a great meal with some great speakers such as Col. Keith Knudesen, Commander 419th Fighter Wing Hill AFB, and Col. Bart Davis, US Army (ret) Utah Dept Veteran's Affairs. These guys gave some great speeches. Each veteran received a very nice Diawa or Okuma spinning combo along with some power bait and a pkg of Maniac soft bait from Maniac Custom Baits. We also had a fantastic raffle for the veterans and every veteran ended up winning something at the raffle. Gift cards from Sportsmans, Harmons, Costco, Smith's, Discount Tire, even a free skin mount from a taxidermist, we also gave away some hats and t-shirts from the Utah BASS Federation & Angler's Den.

We had 3 beautiful trophies donated by PACKFAN with the ceter column of the trophy wrapped in the stars and stripes. They were awesome!
Largest fish - 21.5"
Smallest fish - 1.5"
Most Fish - 10 fish landed.

I will also be posting a list of all of our sponsors.

Watch for KSL Outdoors with Adam Eakle, he was there filimg all day for a compleete show on our event.

this is so great. i wish i wasent gone this year i would have loved to help. for those on the edge, this is an awesome event to get involved with and absolutely worth one day out of your schedule.

My son and I had a great time on the berry with our vet and his son . We didn't catch a lot of fish that day but the stories were good and the company was even better. This was our first time volunteering for something like this , and I am somewhat ashamed of myself for not stepping up sooner because I am an Air Force Vet myself. We look forward helping out again next year.
