Went to Fishlake this past weekend. Fishing was a little slow. I caught fish jigging and trolling. The fish I caught were suspended in about 50' of water fishing in 110' of water. I caught splake, rainbows and perch. There sure are a lot of perch in there can't keep them off your hook. I did not try for macks. The weather was great and the wind hardly blew at all Saturday. I am going back down in about two weeks to try for the macks. I was wondering if anyone would share a good spot for macks or tell me where the cheese hole is? Pm would be fine.
On to the musky report. I decided to take a little hike down below the dam at Johnson Res. When I got down there there was hardly a drop of water just a trickle. I seen hundreds of chubs swimming and splashing all over the place. In the mix was the occasional perch little guys. I walked about 1/4 mile down and I seen the monster muskys lying there dead. What a shame, some beautiful fish. I walked a little further and found a live musky a little one. I did not go much further down river than that because a storm was a brewing. I attached a few pics of the musky.I hope the pics are not ginormous. Later.
