For white bass at Utah Lake......provo harbor is a good place to start. Just drive out on the south dike and look for the Asians with rods going bendo. Jigs tipped with bait, spinners in orange or green or brightly colored flies work great once you find the fish.
For Trout you can not beat Trial Lake up in the Uintas. Worms on the bottom, powerbait, spinners and flies just knock those fish dead up there.....and the cooler temps + less crowds make it more ideal.
