me and some buddies headed out below the dam and drifted all the way to Grandview in small pontoons. I caught 1 trout and hooked one bass and lost him at the boat. My buddies did not catch a thing. The weeds are horrible. I looked for deep holes to do some sturgeon fishin but had no luck finding holes. I need help I am a Sturgeon Virgin and have fished them over 20 times. I hooked one in my big pontoon but he got wrapped on my anchor about my 3rd time out. How deep are the holes in the river? And Where the heck are they? Hunting season is coming up and i am about out of time even though my hunting spot is on fire now in the trinities. I need a dino!!! HELP.

Im no expert but I'v always had better luck in the Snake around Glens Ferry. If you insist on the area below the dam there is one good spot I know about. Head down stream about a quarter mile in your right youll see a grassy area above the river with a table and some chairs on it. Right there about 30 yards or so from shore the run goes down river for some distance. its a hit and miss situation so good luck. There are a few others but its hard to explain here.

The hole right there in Grandview just above the bridge has been a producer for my crew in the past.
