I'm fishing at a local lagoon off of a bridge. there is a large spill out or drainage hole wear water can get in and out. I know there are blue cats and bass and Chanel cats. I want to catch some ! any ideas on how to catch these fish? I have been jigging with worm and only caught 1. I want to have a good time and catch lots. any help would be great-jack

What state are you fishing in? Depending on your state reg's I would try live bait-fish

for the cats, also if available, you can use comercialy made catfish baits. I also like fresh dead minnows or comercialy packed preserved minnows when they are available. Oscarmeier Weeners are great for cats as well as chicken livers.
switch to a small to medium sized rooster tail for the bass.

Try using cut shad for blue cats or you can use live goldfish,just make sure you use strong fishing line and circle hooks.try tight lining for them or use a slip weight and bottom fish,there is so many ways to catch them it's mind boggling.If you need more advice hit me up,also about the circle hooks make sure that it is a true circle hook where the shank is in line with the barb and NOT an OFF Center circle hook. they sell both kinds but I find the true center circle hooks are best..I also find catching them at night easier but that all depends on where you fish,Hit me up and let me know how your doing.
