Struck out today. Got a late start. Fished the banks near the ramp but no takers. Shad moving though. Went to dam and gar city! Someone needs to take some gar gear down there and thin them out - I mean when you have two and three gar chasing a rattle trap that is a little out there isn't it???? emoGeezer Sam hooked a big one on the rattle trap he was using but it pulled off. I was actually glad because it was an Excalibur One Knocker and those things arn't cheap emoEek BTW I hear if you pick the gar up by the beak barehanded they will get you with their teeth - right Labman emoPoke Tried a couple of banks with tubes and jigs and NADA. Tried down river near some current breaks and NADA. Oh well. Had fun with my son. Paid our dues today.
