Today is my first time at this site, so far I think it is great. I came to this message board and thought I would add a story, It is not really a big deal but one for the record anyway.
I was fishing the Shenadoah river in Virginia, I had my boat anchored sideways in the currant in a great set of rapids fishing downstream when I hook a three pound small mouth, the fish wasn't that big a deal as I have caught many even bigger, But when I reeled in it was the way I hooked it. someone else had hooked it and it must have broken the line because the fish had a hook in his mouth with the line and loop from the hook sticking out of his mouth WEll I hooked the loop of the other hook. I was funny as hell to see. What are the chances of that? Anyway, Hello to all you anglers this is a great site, I'm very much enjoying reading other stories. Have a great day

Welcome to the Big Fish online angling community. You are not that far from me. I have fished in the James River a few times. I have had a similar experience before also. I was fishing with a bottom rig and caught a White Perch but not on my hook. My hook went in to the little whole in a barrel swivel on the top of another bottom rig someone had lost and the fish was on that bottom rig I hooked. But these story would be better on the fishing stories board. Don’t for get to check out the Product testers wanted board for chances to get free fishing gear. We also have a Virginia board, hope to see some posts from your fishing trips. There is a lot of great information on this site. If you every need help just ask. There will be someone who will try to help you. Look forward to reading your posts.

arent we in rare form these days.
I to have had a simmilar experiance. I saw a bobber skimming across the top of the water, I cast over in attempts to retreive it, cought hold of it, while reeling in my pole doubled over, a larg mouth had grabbed the line I had cast over to retreive.
here is the funny part, the line I was attempting to retreive was attached to a rubber worm with a live 2 inch blue gill attatched to the worm that was snatched by the a 3 bound bass that was reeled in by a clown who was trying to catch a free bobber. ... lol
what are the odds, about a hundred million to one. odds of us finding anglers like our selves on the same web site. quite common, you know what they say, birds of a fether......
I too would like to welcome you to bigfishtackle's on line community,
great fishing report, you may want to share this on your regeonal board as well, (regeonal board meening state or country further down the main forum page)

Hello gldnwnds,
Welcome to the site!
What are the odds of that! Must have been one hungry fish!
After a hook up like that you may want to head to Vegas and see if you can parlay a bit of that luck into a payday (by the way if you make it, pick me up some of that money I deposited last time I was there, LOL)

[cool] Hey gldwnds and realeasit, I would also like to welcome you both to the BFT site. There is a lot of knowledge to be attained on this site and we all learn from each other. Feel free to share anything that you have to share. If any of you are also into float tubing, we have a forum just for that as well.
Thanks for your input and helping to keep BFT as the top fishing site.
