We cracked the dawn yesterday at the same time that DK and Hal went out.<br />Our trip didn't turn out like theirs emoBang <br /><br />We hit some bass spots first and it was quiet and tired.<br />Immediately went to crappie fishing emoAngler <br /><br />We caught one here one there and they were small.<br />We tried docks and brush piles with very low results.<br />Finished on vertical structure with about 15 for our day.<br /><br />Went to bed with dire predictions from the local weather folks for the next day.<br />I got up early and went everywhere to compare weather reports on the net.<br />The radar looked like a hole was opening around 8:00 or so, so we went.<br /><br />Met Dan at the launch and we went out into the red and dark sunrise slowly to make amends for the day before. emoEnforce <br />Found that the crystal was not doing the job, so we went to a screamer and a sparkly bluish sorta color.<br />Deep down I started getting hits and catching crappie on the screamer.<br />Changed to a blue ghost, added a tail light and we had a day-changing experience! emoThumbsup <br />We both were catching, but the 32 and 24 heads were working better than the 16.<br />We shot docks and worked some deep water and we had about 39 crappie today.<br />10 to 12 were Tn keepers, but Dan wanted to keep "slabs" emoLaugh <br /><br />With what I have been catching, those were few and far between. emoScratch <br />Well what do you know? I get one 1/4 short of 14.<br />Kept that.<br />He just wanted 5 for dinner.<br />We ended up with an 11.5 and 3 more carbon copies of that almost 14!<br /><br />High points of the day was Dan pulling a 3+ LM and my 19 inch smallie.<br />Of course I had a couple eatin' size slimers and a FUN time.<br /><br />Pics are included<br /><br /> emoCool
