Like always theres something missing in my fly box went to fish tech and watting for ETDT but looky here of speaking of not showing up. Apparently he got a out of know were call from work so i few solo to uinta. Pumped my tube went to lilly lake for some tiger and bow fun. Tossed in wooly buggers, EHC, mosquito, prince nymph, and nymphocater i believe. They all work but the best i had was a mosquito and trolling in my tube around the lake watch those fish explode up to the fly. They put a really good fish for first time catch trouts on my TUBE OF DEATH [cool]. Gota love the out of know were rain. paddled fast to me car put tube back and back to trailer for a while. Went back to the lake but action was sorda slow only a few more bites and pulls. Caught 8 tiger and 10 bows. Some of the fish didn't like pictures and flopped away

Saturday I decided to hike to echo lake but looks like my plans were canceled because i slept in so i hike to sheperd lake with all my gear. BIG BIG BIG mistake to even go fishing there took 30 min down hill with all that heavy gear to get skunked. Took 1hr 30 min back to the car of how heavy my gear was on my back. Went to butterfly later back on tube just a few bites. Left that skunky place and close to dark went to crystal lake and got skunked there as well only a few stupid graying nibbling and just zooming around so Saturday i just got skunked for good.

SATURDAY night just spend time with my parents and there friends having some laughters around the lake while they were drinking some 360 vadka and making jokes with 360 name. Apparently some one for got to take there cup that had some juice and vadka in it so when my dad went to the fire pit apparently 2 mice have been sick of there lives and they knew that we would have some alcohol at camp so they decided to go on a 360 soundly sleep in the uinta mountain on Sunday morning.

I woke up way way lake grabbed food and then blasted down through evanston area of uinta to go to echo lake was nice to see the other side of uinta. Got to echo lake around 3 4 ish took my tube down the deadly hard hill went around caught 10+ bass only 2 were 9 in that i kept. Plus once again I ruined a basses meal [Wink]

I hope I don't get skunked again while flyfishing. I haven't had a day like that since i began fly fishing.

Who ever lost there boat some day because it sank down the bottom of the lake and i found it so if you want to pick it up just down by the rocky area. Please do not little the area with pc, fans, boats, bottles, ect come one dont put your frustration into the lake.

When 2 of your upper level bosses tell you that they want you to replace a manager that is stepping down.......you show up if they need ya!

They only needed me for a short time.....and I did end up getting out.....to Dog Lake with the pitbull. A 4 something mile hike just to let the dog swim in the alpine lake that she loves. Over the years I have gone there and just let her swim for the sticks. This time I brought the fishin gear just in case....and NOPE....no boils...which was ok...since I knew there were no fish there.

Daisy the Pitbull going for biggest stick in the lake.

She had to settle for one more of her size.

Shepherd isn't full of recently stocked trout like most of the ones you posted. Even the bigger tigers probable got put in this summer and some of those fish look like they're straight out of the stocking truck. It therefore takes just a touch of patience and skill to catch them. I don't take kids who have never fished before. But most who have fished several times find the 20 minute hike is worth the payout of bigger fish. Lots of lakes back there and throughout the Uintas like that if you get off the roadside kiddy lakes.
ETDT that a nice looking Pit. Do most pit bulls like water? I have a half pit / half lab and she learned to swim the second day we got her at 8 weeks. She followed our older dog as it walked across a side channel of a river. Being so small she just swam the 10 yards when her feet no longer touched. Wasn't planned but she's been swimming ever since.
I always figured it was her lab genes.

Did you see the picture of all of my gear ha ha ha not easy going up hill with all that in the front and back. I learned my lesson never take a tube on a hike XD. Plus those fish didnt bite on anything I had from worms on regular rod to EHC, woolly buggers, mosquitoes, nymphocater, prince nymph, adams, and many more flies and nymphs i tossed with not even a nibble so ya.

Various emerger patterns, wd 40 , cooper john and scuds will all do the job quite well if you can't figure out what dry they're hitting.
