A previous post described concerns for Condie and future water levels, and draining below conservation (min. pool) levels? I too am concerned.[frown]
Am also concerned about Weston. [frown] Any one been to Weston recently? Any one have info, as to how far they are allowed to empty it???

How about all the reservoirs around Malad & Preston?Does anyone know which ones have conservation pools? I've been told Daniels does, but that is the only one I know of.

I haven't been up that way recently. I almost came back from Lava that way on Saturday, but I had to make a detour through Preston for groceries. I've been too busy enjoying Condie to check Weston, but if I do make it up that way I'll let you know.

Leaky33,
Weston has the ability to be drained dry. Back in 1976 when there was a severe drought, Weston was drained bone dry I believe. But that is quite rare. We would have to have a more severe drought than we are in right now.

Biteme,
Devils Creek reservoir has a conservation pool. Twin, Condie, Oneida, Johnson, Foster, Hawkins, Deep Creek, Weston, Winder and Glendale and Chesterfield and Alexander can all be drained dry. However, I think the irrigators will probably keep water enough in all of these reservoirs for carryover for next year's water needs and the fish will survive.

Kind of too bad it's pretty much the one I care about the least that has a conservation pool. I really hope we get some good rain this fall before they cap.

I hope so as well that we get some rain and lots of it. I also hopes it cools off allot soon. Education drains allot of water but with.the constant temps evaporation isnt helping any. I dont see Alexander or onieda drying up this year because the bear river is.still running pretty good. Hawkins I always anticipate it going pretty dry any more.and I hope Weston doesnt get to.low this year and then have a winter kill due to lack of water. Seems like the bass fishing was exceptional there this year.. Still havnt caught a perch from.there but the bass have been looking good.

The bass have been doing so well at all the lakes in the area. It would really be a shame to lose all that progress. While I haven't caught any giants this year, I have caught well over one hundred fish in the 16-18" range in the area. I would hate to start over and wait another ten years for them to get back to that point again.
