Well 3 of us floated below the dam at CJ. I caught one nice 3 lb bass. we fished for about 5 hrs and not one sutrgeon bite. I guess i will be a sturgeon virgin 4 ever.. great trip just the same. good frieinds and a good view. One day i will catch one.

Book a trip with rimrock outfitters.......... He will put you on more sturgeon below the dam then you and your buddies will care to reel in. He will teach you good baits and techniques and you'll learn some new spots that arent the gong show right at the base of the dam

Bummer man. I went down with Fishin4days. We managed to land 2 sturgeon, nothing of notable size, both around 5 1/2 ft. The trout fishing was stellar though!
We saw a few boats, so we probably saw you at some point. Keep at it, you'll catch one eventually.
What day were you there? We fished Saturday evening and Sunday morning till about 2pm. It was definitely slow. We had some missed bites, fought the horrible moss battle.
I think the river got hit pretty hard this weekend. When we got there on Saturday, a boat was reeling a fish in and they said they were on number 5. Then we kept hearing a boat downriver from us yell fish on.... maybe they were just doing that to annoy us. Who knows.
