Norman and I met at Riverpark at 7 am. He spent the next hour and a half throwing the castnet while I was controlling the boat, part of the time he did it from shore with heathj encouraging him (see pic). Heathj was catching lots of skippies and some white and black bass also. It was tough to get optimal size bait, but it wasn't for lack of effort on Norman's part. Thanks, partner! We made a lot of drifts and missed at least half a dozen strikes/hook-ups. We got a 17 lb. blue cat and a couple of channel cats. Norman even worked the anchor to hold us in good fishing spots, but it didn't happen. My lifewell pump died a noisy death and my trolling batteries gave out. We were ready to call it a day about noon when we decided to try one last spot for a smallie. Norman got rewarded for all his hard work by catching a beautiful keeper smallie on a plastic crawfish bait. That made our day.

The flow was 6500cfs til 10, went to 20K til 11 and then to 44k when we left at 1. The surface temp was 81.5 when we left. All fish released.

I'm posting a pic of Norman throwing the castnet with heathj watching. Norman will post a couple of fish pics.

Regards, Nauticman
