Kinda new to the whole fishing, but have been following BFT for a bit. I live in spanish fork, and have been wanting to go out to Utah lake to try some fishing. The week is looking promising for that, but would like some help. I do not own a boat and would have to be shore lining it. I am just asking for the best spots (if you don't mind sharing). trying to take the Mrs. to have just time for the two of us. if you don't mind sharing, i would greatly appreciate it. Locations and the works [

Hey I'm from Spanish Fork took, well "Leland" would be more correct, you know down by the sugar beet factory. Whereabouts do you live? For you, I'd say hit lincoln beach, it's close and descent fishing most times.

With lincoln beach, is it decent fishing off the dock? I live close to the junior high

Yeah, you can catch pan fish, white bass (also a pan fish?), mostly, but there is a healthy population of large mouths in there too. I'm sure you could pic up a couple other species on other days, but white bass is the main catch and blue gill i would say. Just use a small bobber with a two foot leader followed by a small jig tipped with a night crawler. Tinker with different depths until they start biting. Sometimes depth matters, sometimes not, just depends.
