On the way home from the Hospital decided to stop at that same little spot on the Jordan and kill 30 min before I had to be home. The whities were a little tougher to catch. Instead of 6 in 8 casts I caught 6 in the 40 min I was there. I met a young guy named Shane that had just moved up here from Arizona. He had a few small spinners and I told him where they had been hitting. He managed a few also. I told him to look us up here on BFT. Anyhoo it was again a nice little break from the daily routine. That magic red glitter head in 1/16 oz. that TD makes along with a black and green grub was the ticket again.

[cool][#0000ff]Keep on keepin' on. Don't just "find" time to fish. MAKE time to fish...whenever you can.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Hey Brent, I use those black and chartreuse tube jigs a lot too. Almost as good as pink for whities. I am attaching a pic I put together of some of my favorite color heads and plastics. Take a look at the black neon and the black spot chartreuse. Those both work well with the little black tubes too. Maybe I can get the guy who makes them to sample you on a couple.[/#0000ff]

Yup I have done really well on a dark green over chartreuse or black over chartreuse. So far I havent done as well on the pinks but mine are shall we say pinker. I havent dont the silver with pink. I was going to try on of the little roadtunner guys I got from you but what can I say ...so little time[laugh]Whities a few more times before hard water then I want to find some perch to play wobble jig with me. This is my last week of hospital stuff for awhile so maybe more fishing time.

[cool][#0000ff]I think I'm gonna do a whitie harvest soon...for a requested family chowder fest. Then I will be hitting Lincoln Beach for the fall walleye thing. With the rock shelves being more shallow it might could just be better this year. Used to do very well along there in low water years.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I'll also be doing my annual October perch pursuit on Deer Creek. You would be welcome to join me whenever you can get free and feel up to it. I find them first in shallower water and then follow them out to deeper water as the temps drop. But the silly walleyes and trout sometimes get in the way.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Might even try a couple of spots on Jordanelle for perch this fall. I have heard they are coming back a bit and there are places they group up before going too deep.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Come on by when you get a chance and I will see if I can sneak a few new trinkets into your arsenal. Might even have some smokitty left over.[/#0000ff]

Thank you kndly for the invite. I am hoping to do more fishing and I do take fridays off. The rest of my time is relegated to weekends and I know you aint a fan of fridays and weekends but with a little notice I might make arrangements for a more preferred day.I would love to sample some of that latest batch of smoked kitties, gonna have to keep my eye on geezer I can almost hear him plottin. New trinkets to try is always fun. I will get with ya soon.

[cool][#0000ff]Once the power squadron thins out a bit I am more amenable to Fridays and weekends. Probably gonna try to hit something somewhere tomorrow.[/#0000ff]
