Thanks, Jigs. You pretty much hit the nail on the head right there. I have had a lot of those patented Wife "Looks" and sideways "Glances," if you know what I mean. She hasn't come right out and said anything about all the time I've been spending on that Halstead coverage but sure she has been thinking it.
She will really appreciate your kind words and that was really thoughtful (and helpful) for you to say that, Jigs. THANKS! Ye Ol' Halstead is up to 50% contained as of this Wednesday night and most of that containment is in the critical zone.
What's the critical zone? Well, it would those areas that, if they failed, might toast off areas real close to Stanley or Sunbeam and maybe leap the river and take off out into the White Clouds. Most of the uncontained is out in the Frank Church and will burn until the snow decides it's time to stuff it.
Meanwhile, we're already planning to move on to lots of other, long overdue articles. We made a list of 36 of them yesterday, you guessed it, Steelhead are at the top of the list. (Only four of the 36 are on fire-related stuff but one's real important: the fires' affect on the fisheries.)
