Well I got shot down again. Twice in two trips. I decided it has been a long time since I had visited Silver Lake in American Fork Cyn. So, today was going to be the day. I got to the trailhead about 6:30. Loaded up my backpack and headed out. Got as far as the information sign and found out the lake and trail are closed, due to the stabilization work on the dam. Instead of giving up and heading home like Thursday, I decided to fish Silver Lake Flat. I ended up catching about 30. Half were brookies and half were bows. All were pretty small (6" to 10".)

Man you need to follow the better adventures we have taken lately. Don't fret too much about Silver Lake as it was full of mini fish last time we went up there. Still it is a great scenery hike and well I know I will be backcountry skiing that place this year. As for ice fishing it while doing the skiing......we shall wait and see if that is possible.

Hey you did a ton better than us at the Silver Lake Flat.
