For any one from the DWR I hope you read the post from flyfishinglover on Jordanelle and I think the limit on bass is only one over 12"...
He shows two being cleaned..

Ok calm down buddy. I have busted him several times for exaggerating the size of fish.
For as many bass as you have caught you'd think YOU OF ALL PEOPLE would know those fish aint as big as he said they are.

I bet your the guy that calls the city on your neighbors who's tree is hanging a foot over your fence...

good point from both you and Bassrods.... might want to inform your friend this would likely be the wrong place to post that kind of info, even if it is all just BS, someone could get all uppity and call him on it.

Woops. There's a hot-line for that. Don't know if BFT is the best avenue for your complaint. Did you consider a PM informing him of the restriction, rather than a "public tattle"?
Gotta hope they didn't get beheaded in the field too. . .
I'm guessing there's no cleaning station around there?
the 12 inch rule only applies on certain waters. But technically - if there were two fish, one was 14, one was 12 - then only one was OVER 12 inches. Sounds ok to me. Wasn't close to a limit either.
When he said Bass and Eggs - I was thinking more along the lines of scrambled or poached (homonym).
Quote:Jordanelle Reservoir, Wasatch County
Limit 6 bass, only 1 bass may be over 12 inches.
• Bass may not be filleted, and the heads or
tails may not be removed in the field or in
transit.
So raises me a question: Utah slots the big fish, and Idaho slots the little fish. Kinda wonder what the philosophy is behind each approach.
Holy crap...I haven't been on this website all summer and finally logged in to take a look at who is catching what...so amusing to see nothing has changed, Bassrods you are certainly one of a kind...

I am going to take 3 mins from my fishing day to say this.
Well I think you owe somebody an appology cliff. Way to cry wolf.
Typical of these kinds of posts. The guy that cries wolf either didn't understand the rules as they were writen or was way off on the regs because they didn't read them. Gets old after a while.

I HAVE READ THE STUPID BASS RULES ONE BASS WAS OVER 12 IN ONE BASS WAS ON 12 IN SO STOP CRYING WOLF BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW YOU BROKE A LAW AS WELL DONT LIE ABOUT THE FISH SIZE YOU CATCH JUST TO GET A RECORD. WE ALL KNOW YOUR ONLY WITNESSES WAS YOUR SON AND YOU WHO SAW THE FISH SIZE AND YOU DIDNT BREAK THE RECORD SO QUITE COMPLAINING AND LYING. YOU SHOULD JUST ERASE THAT RECORD FOR GOOD. [mad][mad][mad][mad][mad][mad][mad]
REGULATION IS 6 BASS ONE MAYBE OVER 12 IN. I HARVEST ONE OVER 12 IN AND ONE THAT IS 12 INCHES IM SURE THATS NOT BREAKING THE RULES OR LYING LIKE YOU DO.
NEXT TIME I CATCH A BASS THERE I WILL SEND YOU THE SAME FISH PIC WITH MEASURING TAPE THATS ON MY FLOAT TUBE EVERY DAY TILL YOU GET SICK OF IT.
YOU ARE TRULLY ON THE "BFT HATE LIST" NOW. I HOPE I NEVER SEE YOU EVER.
I JUST HOPE SOME ONE WILL BREAK YOUR RECORD SOON TO SHUT YOUR MOUTH UP FOR ONCE. YOUR LIKE A KID THAT GOT HIS CANDY STOLEN TODAY.
GET A LIFE! [mad]

Calm down buddy. Cliff loves his bass to a fault maybe, but he also has likely spent more time on the water this year than your entire life. And I'm 100% certian he has caught more fish. Your reaction to him causing some drama simply made you seem immature and childish. It is true that he didn't really have the right to call you out publicly.
At the same time, you stated it was 12 inches. I may be wrong but when I catch a fish and it's JUST shy of an inch, it's still not that inch. So you could of had a 12.5 inch bass. Which is still against the proc. Even a 12.0001 incher could be considered illegal. I am on neither side here but your reply just came across as a child throwing a temper tantrum.
Pretty sure anyone that posts bragging about killing two egg bearing bass on a lake as touchy as the Nelle is just out looking for a troll war. You don't seem to be a respectful angler, more like you just are seeking attention. Many of the men and women on this forum enjoy fishing for the way it connects you with nature, and I'm sure there are more than a few that get annoyed when they hear that someone could "only kill two"
Though I could be completely off, as I'm tired and posting this just for the halibut

Over 12" and one = 12". Sounds like there was no wrongdoing here when the law clearly says only one over 12". Some just get worked up over nothing. Go fish. Have fun. Stay within the regs, and you have no need to worry. And again, I am with CS here. Only one was over 12.

I wanted to add my two cents which is easy as I'm just going to say diddo to MarineSpear's post.

+1 on marine spears post
Any thing over 11.99 inches is breaking the with the 14 incher already in the bag.

Bassrods,
It might have been better just to remind FFL and everybody else that only 1 bass can be over 12 inches. There is no proof that the fish was greater than 12 inches at all. He called it 12. I look at both his 12 and 14 inch bass and am inclined to believe if anything they were a tad short and he rounded up slightly. Certainly no proof of illegal behavior and if you are going on what he said he didn't break the law.
i.e. FFL just remember that second fish has to be 12 inches our smaller to keep legally. Once it's even slightly over 12 it goes to the 1 over 12 inch limit.
