I took a few days off work to fish Indian Pass again this week. I have actually spent the last several short vacations learning this water as I think its an incredible inshore fishery.

Prior to this last trip I located all the area oyster bars via Google earth and have the images on my phone with about 25 waypoints marking their intersections with deeper water.

After several trips scouting trying to figure out where my boat can go in this shallow water I have discovered one or two areas at the right tide that seem better than others . I am really hoping all this time on the water will pay off this Fall when fishing should improve!

We used gulp shrimp, spoons, and suspending mirro-lures and had some success with limits of large trout, slot reds, and a couple bonus triple-tails. Water temps were about 82.

Pics below from this week along with a couple others from past long-weekend trips.
