My daughter and I hit Lincoln beach. We intended to fish the weeds but the water was so low, all the weeds were in mud. We ended up fishing about 100 yards away and it was only 1 1/2 ft deep. We got 1 3 lber, 1 4 lber and a bunch of white bass. They seem to hang around under the boat. We lost 3 large cats which broke our weak leaders. Also broke a hook using an ice jig. Can't wait to go again in a couple of weeks.

Glad you and your daughter finally got into them. Lincoln beach area should start getting good. Nice cats and a few whities always help entertain the kids. Even us old ones[laugh]

[cool][#0000ff]Nice. Glad the fish took pity on ya and decided to sacrifice a few for the cause.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]As the water cools the cats will definitely move into deeper water. One of the better spots is right off the end of the north dike. There is a dredged channel that is a few feet deeper than the surrounding area and both white bass and catfish gravitate to it in the fall.[/#0000ff]

Nice, you did better than I did on Sat. I was going back and forth on launching at LB or Provo and ended up at Am Fork! Go figure! My lazy ass didn't want to drive for another 30 mins. I'll try LB next and hopefully get into some bigguns! Thanks for the post!
