Spent Thursday to Sunday at our camp at Stanton Creek With my family. Got to fishing Thursday morning picked a spot just around the corner and boils started all around us they were filled with Large mouth small mouth and Stripers all fish were healthy. Caught most of them on a super spook. Crank baits worked good too. Boils lasted a hour or so moving from one end of the cove to the other. Went back that evening same spot more large mouth than anything they were taking advantage of these good sized shad. They would spit up 2 or three at the boat before we got them in. Friday morning same spot same deal we got into them again. My dad caught his biggest Largie so made his trip, Even after he got a striper and was taking the hook out and got it stuck in his finger past the barb he was hooked and hooked to the fish and the net used the fishing line trick that worked great to get it out. Friday evening decided not to go out in the boat and see what it was like around camp. We was sitting their drinking some bevrages enjoying the view and splash splash boils off the point. I was on a dead run for my pole in the back of my boat made the long cast and bam big 4 pound striper and then it was over. We ate a bunch of fish and made so fun memories it is a great time right now to be at powell Waynes words is right so get down their.

Jealous... as in not a olive drab green with envy... we are talking full-on Glow Chartreuse.

Lake Powell fishing is a complete blast. I hope I get another trip or two in during the fall.

Nice fish there.

Nice job man. Gosh i miss that place going through the channels into slot canyons and camping where no one is camping and fishing is away great in the slots if you find a nice one. Its nice to see that lake powell is showing its fall fishing season like usually. Shall be there next fall.

These pictures brings good memories in lake powell with not so much time to fish but still a great eatting.

Keep up with the up dates if you go to LP again. [angelic]

Party On! Excellent!

Wow - that sounds like some fun action. Funny - how some of the "boils" if bumped into end up being a bunch of dinky little fish going at it. Would SO dig getting on them bigguns!

Nicely - thanks for the report.
